I haven’t seen my dog jump since I snuck up on her with a vacuum cleaner.

No problem for my cat, doesn’t make a mess though. Clean jumper.

Well Claude, maple syrup’s OK most of the time, but once in awhile I prefer lemon curd. Maybe we should go half and half. So let’s see, half a dozen pancakes with lemon curd…Got it! The address is 6 Lemon Street.

Now, I have to admit….. while apologising profusely to those of you of a Canadian persuasion….

which includes the birthday honoree…. sorry….

that I have never been overly fond of maple.

Ok, ok…. I said I was sorry!

When I was kid I only knew stuff like Log Cabin Syrup…. fake maple, at that….

and I hated it.

Now that I’ve had real maple syrup, I like it a lot better, but it’s not a favorite.

However….. and again, sorry, Steve…. I’d rather eat a gallon of maple syrup than two bites of this cake,

if the decorations were real.

Thankfully, they’re frosting and a few XTI edible animated cake decors…. much to Steve’s disappointment, I’m sure.

Hate to keep apologising to the birthday person…..

but it IS a good cake….

Happy Birthday, JPS! Always one of the funniest commenters. I hope waffles will be alright, I am on duty to make them in the morning. I have to go out early to get some nice thick smoky bacon. And real maple syrup. of course!

There’s nothing better than pure, real, maple syrup. And Cleo knows which side her pancake’s buttered on.
