From the looks of it, he won’t be playing too much longer…

I recall when my son, Roger Tubbsbottl took up the trumpet. I also remember my first hearing aids.

Lots of these comments are funnier than the cartoons. I think Ballard Street has great graphics.

He didn’t insult anyone, I agree with him, a lot of the comments made are funnier than the actual cartoons, LOL!

Sorry if I was misunderstood! I was talking about the graphics, not the comments!

I was just going to mention drawing! The thoughts are what B. Street are all about, never mind “graphics’, can’t even copy these. Thoughts, ideas, weird, but real!

Spike is playing with violent abandon! Like The Who and The Clash, destroying their instruments!

It looks to me as if Spike is working on the Paganini Fantasia & Reverie on a broken G string. It is a sort of homage to Bach’s Air on the G String. And like all Paganini works, fiendishly difficult. It requires dogged determination to master the piece.

Dial “B” for Basset. Don’t answer that phone, Cleo!

I’m sure that Dial B for Basset will have a much better outcome than that human attempt to copy it.

    Hullo all…. I’m back…. didja miss me?

This, as most of you know, is where we’re posting our comments on

the Jan 8th  2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”

A beautiful poster, which seems to be by StelBel and Nighthawks….

    See it on Sherpa:

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

    Wow.

A classic Hitchdog film….. intrigue, seduction, double murder plots, suspense…. wagging tails, howls, and mystery.

A beautiful heroine…. or is she a heroine? A wronged husband… or is he a villain?

The humans, as Alexi notes, made a copycat version… which appparently you can actually watch on his link.

The poster is a bit different from the basset one…

like the film itself, it’s not as dramatic.

And just look at that pale, overly thin, human female.

    Anyhow…. I didn’t actually go anywhere.

I just had a couple of days with a lot to do, and I couldn’t stay awake for my usual hours, so I used it as an excuse to try to go to bed earlier.

But here I am, back again.

I told Hillary and Roger we couldn’t come over, either, with all that racket going on.

They’re just going to have to put their feet down… they must have at least one strong foot between them!

Spike is already thinking about trying a less delicate instrument, when the violin is destroyed.

What will they do when he’s loudly blaring away on a Sousaphone?

Luckily, he may not be able to manage the embouchure.

Bet there are a few thousand bassets who would love for Cleo to talk to them.

Montana Lady….. so good to see that you were able to stop by yesterday!

Everybody…. I was supposed to convey a message from Montana Lady yesterday, but I never made it here…. sorry.

She got out of the hospital three days ago, and is getting therapy that, I’m happy to report, is finally starting to work….

She said, via e-mail, “could you please let everyone know that I am really coming alive again, and that I miss visiting with everyone.”

We all miss you, too….and wish you the very best!

If you’re a regular here, and I have your address, I forwarded you the email from her, at her request…. if I don’t, and you’d like to read it, or to contact her, or me…

write to my user name here at gmail dot com.

If you think I have your address but you didn’t get it:

I do have a couple more addresses that were passed along to me by others…. I wrote those concerned and asked permission to send future messages, but if I didn’t get a response I didn’t send anything.

Otherwise, I don’t have it…. just write to me.

I can’t promise much correspondence, or always timely replies….

but an off-gocomics network can be helpful… especially in cases like this, or disappearances. Let me know if you prefer to be added openly (cc) or privately (bcc)

I won’t send jokes or junk, and I bcc everything by default…. though I’d never promise no glitches could occur.

    And now… it’s very late!!

Susan, Thank you for helping me stay in contact with the C & C family! She really does not abuse the email privilege.
