Great poster Stel and NH. This is an all time favorite in this household. I just love the scene where Lee Marbone gets ready for his big scene. All that primping and preening. And the great music. You can’t help but tap your toes to this one.
Oh boy, an animated poster! What will they think of next? Loved the movie AND the poster. Plus you’ve got to love Lee Marbone’s dual roles as Kid Shekibble and Tim Bedstraw.

Uh, partnering? How do you “partner” in knitting?

Lee Marbone is going to have to do his best job of acting to keep his drunken horse from walking away with the awards.

Good evening, Cleo fans…
We have another great poster from StelBel to talk about today….
in the Feb 26th 2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”
Which you can read on Sherpa
http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy
And it’s animated!!
Beautifully done, Stel… and with a huge cast of our favorite canine stars.
Gotta take a walk past the BassetPlexII, and see how it looks in motion, inside those glass poster cases.
How exciting!
It’s such a great movie.
Who can forget Lee Marbone’s tin nose?
How did he sniff bu…. I mean…. oh you know… dog stuff?
And the beautiful young Jane Hounda.
I remember being startled to see Dwayne Hickbasset…
I always associate him with his starring role in “Doberman Gillis” ….
and before that, in (possibly my Mom’s favorite comedy), “Love That Dog.”
Great work!
Looking to see whether the humans copied this movie…
and of course they did….
But only the Italians seem to have copied this poster,
They added some horses… but they couldn’t be bothered to list all the stars…
and obviously, they didn’t animate it. Only StelBel can do that magic.

The American poster has the actress playing… OMG… it’s Cat, not dog! Um… anyway… she’s bent over in a very unseemly way!
Say what you will about dogs… I don’t think Jane Hounda would pose like that.

I kind of like the Italian poster. Woof woof!
I tried to get in the pose of the American poster but my wrists did not like it. Is that a scene from the movie?

Of course Lee Marbone tried to steal the show,

we can’t forget Nat King Collie and Stubby Kanine as strolling singers and banjo players…..
however, neither could obviously PLAY the banjo, (they kind of faked it while the banjo music
was dubbed in) but their singing made up for it

Wow, that’s just like the old westerns. The gun just keeps firing and never runs out of bullets.
