This park must have been designed by the guy or gal who invented the office cubicle.

Dang! And I thought all those girls were just twerking. They must have had their tails docked too.

Communal, yet private. A shared space, yet alone with your thoughts.

Those owners should have their heads docked.

Those people, both men and women, should have something below their waists get docked without any anesthesia.

    Hi….. yawn…. everybody!

I was just kinda…. you know…. resting my eyes for a little bit….

but I here I am…. gotta make sure anybody stopping by will know this is where we comment on

the May 19th  2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”

    Read it on Sherpa

Today’s toon isn’t … um… ha-ha-funny, though it has some humor in it.

More of a PSA, an appeal for our furry friends…. on a subject I’ve railed about for years.

When I was about 12, overseas, on an Air Force base, our neighbors brought home a boxer… a sweet dog they named Heidi.

I don’t remember how they got her… but she had a long tail, and floppy ears.

They took her to a local vet, and she came home in bloody bandages.

I cried…. and they told me they had to do it because that was how a boxer was supposed to look.

I was angry… I didn’t hate them, cos they were otherwise nice people.

It was just something “everybody” did in that era…. but I never understood.

My little “second hand” Schipperke, 20 years ago, had a docked tail… again…. “everyone” did it.

Breeders told me their natural tails were skinny and “ugly,” and unbalanced their bodies….

and Schips with tails weren’t accepted in shows… but my dog was sold as a pet.

Since then, I’ve seen pictures… some have naturally short tails… most are beautiful, and fluffy, and curl over their backs.

The AKC now allows natural tails and ears in the ring in the US…. but in some breeds, like Schipperkes, a tail is acceptable but still a fault(!!)

In most of Europe dog modification is illegal…. dog registries and shows have just had to deal with it.

    That should happen here!

Fenton, the famous night bartender at the Tiki, doesn’t like to talk about it, but he totally agrees.
