So who does the voice of the scale, Don Rickles?

I think Farside is right, this was programmed to do a Don Rickles personality. I hope the scale is a bit more polite when Clara steps on!

Mr. Macy is not going to be obliged to be happy, thank you very much. “Happy-Schmappy, you old bags!” as he leaves the room.

Happiness in the face of anything at all is unwise.

There is no reason to like the annoying talking scale. There is no reason to treat it with any respect whatsoever. Drown it in the bathtub.

    Howdy, all!

I trust we’re all hap-hap-happy…. as we gather here, to post our comments on

the May 24th  2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”

We love to read it on Sherpa…

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

We don’t need a Council on Happiness, cos comics make us happy!

    Mr. Macy should read some!

I suggest Cleo and Company…. where we love to hate that talking scale.

Of course the scale isn’t happy.

Every day, he puts on a lot of weight…. and then loses it, of course…. but that must be stressful.

Everybody walks all over him…. I bet even the dog…

And though he was hired for a speaking part…. a guest-starring role in today’s strip,…. he found out he only gets paid scale.

Talk about starting on the ground floor!

But he doesn’t have to be so nasty he provokes that kind of retribution from Cleo…

Oh, Mr. Scale… urine trouble now!

    OK, OK…. I know.

I didn’t say they were funny, did I?

Anyway, today’s 10-year-old Ballard St. seems to go well with today’s Cleo….

The talking scale may have something in common with Mr. Macy… a temperament not geared towards the positive.

Then again…. Mr. Macy may have been quite the jokester, and very upbeat…. until the ladies of the Happiness Council simply wore him out.

None of them looks like the Bluebird of Happiness herself.

I think they all need a snack.

    I know we do….

Shall we head for the Tiki today?

BTW… I have to wonder who AZP was, and what his problem was, and admire the blithe confidence in GoComics shown by dcguys, 10 years ago…

Mr. Macy stands behind the aims and goals he sets foe himself. They don’t always tie in with yours..

This could start a full scale war.

Darn, we didn’t get to see the good part where the scale gets a little extra liquid weight and a whole lot of solid weight that would smell for months. Or, if we are really really lucky, we’ll get to see part two next week where the scale starts to gag from the smell? Maybe?

I wouldn’t mind a scale that told me I was perfect!

(and then stop the cartoon right there!)

I find that kicking the scale a few times between weighings can sometimes produce more favorable outcomes…
