Richard O’Basset is just killer in that role.

    Well…. it’s astounding…. time is fleeting…..

But here I am, at last Cleo friends….

I see that x_Tech has already given you the Sherpa address for viewing

the June 7th, 2019 "Cleo and Company " strip .

..which we are commenting on right here today….

    Um…. I think it’s today….. though I’ve been lost in a time warp.

In any case…. it’s the wonderful Richard O’Basset…. in an animated version, as the unforgettable Ruff Ruff…..

    Showing us the way.

Aaaah….. never apologise for rerunning it….. it’s… you know…. a kind of a Life Lesson.

    Great job, Nighthawks and StelBel.

Anyhow, I got waylaid several times on my way here…. including getting home already late for the comics.

When I eventually made it to my computer, of course it had decided to update…. and then so did Firefox.

    Finally…. ready-set-go…. open GoComics….

    And….. Ta-tah!

“This website is under heavy load (queue full)

We’re sorry, too many people are accessing this website at the same time. We’re working on this problem. Please try again later."

    Sigh…..

Anyway…. Nighthawks said yesterday that were were going to see this animation today, so I was planning on posting a clip….

While the site was down, I searched and searched for one from the Basset Edition….

but, as I’m sure x_Tech discovered, it’s almost impossible to find one, so you have to post a human version.

And he already did…. thanks, X…

And now I’ve got an earworm.

It’s actually useful for practicing, though…..

Let’s do the Time Warp agaaaiinn….

    It’s easy, Marshal….. it’s just a jump to the left….

Apparently, 10 years ago. everybody thought all dogs were Scooter…. or sometimes Rusty Boy.

I do believe, though, that that’s Baxter.

Reading the comments from the night I missed, I saw some discussion of a possible sarcasm font.

Some people on the comics use < s > </ s > or even the whole word “sarcasm” in the brackets.

You have to be careful not to close them cos they disappear…. or use the “code” code (@ signs)

The font posted, actually called “Sarcasm”, didn’t look sarcastic to me….

I used to have one, meant to be horrific, that I used a couple of times for sarcasm, instead, on greeting cards….

It was dripping… supposedly blood…. but snark seems right, too.

The reason I thought of it now is that the “Rocky Horror” title font looks a bit sarcastic to me, for the same reason….

or maybe also that I’m used to watching Patricia Quinn’s lips move under the titles…. and the song is rather sarcastic.

Yes, the human version…. Cleo is one of the only bassets I’ve met who can pull off a sneer.

Dogs are generally too busy being eager and affectionate to bother being snarky.

    Cleo, not so much.

That is a very complicated dance. Especially the pelvic thrusts. I may have to practice that a few times before I get it right.

So, when does the audience get to throw things at the screen? That’s all I remember our kids talking about when they repeatedly went to see this fun movie.

(I’ll bet Cleo will be tempted to bring her bazooka to a showing.)
