I pity the mailman who might be just around the corner.

Hello all….. is this your day to feel puzzled?

It’s OK…. you can step right this way…

and enjoy the dilemma, by finding nine differences….

in the June 15th  2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”

Use the original , vertical, version on Sherpa

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

Or my hopefully helpful horizontal one…. right HERE:

    https://s26.postimg.cc/3nrbg1otl/Cleo_nine_differences_Sept_1st_17.png

You shouldn’t have too much trouble solving this one….

Then come right back…. and let’s talk.

How about meeting at the Tiki today….

I’ll reserve the Forest Room…. the one that was the Chrysanthemum Room last week…

    But nobody could spell it.

That poor mailman. He suffers a lot at the hands…. er… paws… of Cleo.

Nighthawks… is this some sort of restitution for something deep in your past?

Or just publicly picturing the plight of every poor put-upon postman?

(Man, those alliteration pills really work, if intermittently.)

In any case… every cartoon mailman seems to get chased or bitten…. or tormented in some new way… by a dog, or occasionally a cat.

Someone ten years ago even suggested that Augie was about to be mean to a mailman.

But I think it’s just one of those times where a dog finds a loose bit of something….

in this case, the surface coating of that sign…. and starts pulling…

    and then pulling some more….

and pulling and pulling till there’s nothing left to pull.

A friend’s dog once unraveled a large braided rug, in one afternoon.

And my 14 pound dog once found a tiny strand of polyester filling poking out of a match head size hole in the couch….

I’d seen it in the morning before work, but thought nothing of it.

When I got home she’d unstuffed the whole 5 or 6 foot seat without ever enlarging the hole.

Before some one throws a net over me, I’d better post the solution to today’s Cleo & Co. puzzle.

    Where is everybody tonight….

Dennis and x_Tech are here…. and the little group from 2009… but there are a lot more of you missing.

Not afraid of a silly puzzle, I’m sure.

I know it’s still early for Perkycat and Montana Lady and JP Steve….

Jless and a few of you others tend to look, and lurk, and even “like” (thank you) more than you post.

But where are Liverlips, and Farside?

SheMc, Bri-No-Mite…. all of you…. sorry if I can’t think of all the names at 3am… but come on in!!

    Dry, you disappeared again, too.

    Was it something I said?

    Sigh….

Anyway…. I just found out tonight that yesterday was Perkycat’s birthday!

Wish I’d known on time…. but for this year…. a belated Happy Birthday, Perkycat!

I’ll leave word with Fenton, and he’ll put a Yak n’ Dak, or maybe a hearty Tiki breakfast, or a yakburger plate, with your choice of beverage, on my tab…

If there’s a meal you’d rather have, just let me know and I’ll arrange it.

Speaking of the Tiki…. a word to the Monkey:

    I know you’re my boss, and it’s your bar….

But when did you put those “NO CATS” signs back up?

You know you have to take them down again… NOW.

Otherwise you’ll have to fine yourself!

Discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, national origin, disability, or species is illegal in Ballard County…. and you’re the Sheriff!

Well, I didn’t quite find them all…….I must be getting too old. I do love this comic, though. Claude should know by now that Cleo will never do things like other dogs!

I must say, despite her many other faults, Cleo has never (AFAIK) defaced public property in the manner Augie so eloquently demonstrates!

Dear Cleo & Co. friends of The Ole Scalawag

I have more sad news about @nighthawks close personal friend he calls The Ole Scalawag. 9 years ago Scalawag’s pasta addiction got the better of him and we had to send him to an overseas “camp” to dry out. The treatment he received involved sheep testicles.

He has relapsed several times since, almost always the result of that hussy Teresa Burritt posting pasta-related cartoons on Frog Applause (she does this on purpose).

Well, she did it again on Thursday with a reference to Chef Boyardee. That triggered poor Rotty’s memory (er, I mean Scalawag’s memory) and sent him on a Lasagna, Manicotti, Cheese Ravioli, Fettuccine Alfredo, Chicken Alfredo, Tortellini, and Spaghetti bender. We had to have another intervention, and he’s agreed to go to “camp” (yet again) at an undisclosed location in Idaho that specializes in the treatment of pasta-related dependencies with massive amounts of whitewater, gin, vodka, wine (not the white kind, the kind that is all purplie) and gruel.

If all goes well he’ll be back in about two weeks.

    Sincerely,

    The Ole Scalawag’s Mother

Even with Susan’s help I missed one. At least I am in good company with Steve and Perky.

Checked in at about 1:45 – 2:00 am EST and found no one here but the ten year olds. Could not locate all nine without @SusanSunshine’s side-by-side, so I retired yet again. Now, with the aid of the aforementioned side-by-side, voila! Nine differences!

Personally, I’m impressed by Cleo’s boxing stance, and by her ability to make a fist.
