Oh, I’ve had one of those days.

I guess she ran out of happiness.

Happiness just flew out the window.

Maybe the bluebird of happiness will build a nest with it.

This describes my yesterday and hopefully not today as well.

Cleo: Have a better day today.

Aha! Caught his stationery store selling A4 as A-sized paper. He’ll probably get the chair for that!

I’ll bet there isn’t an entry in it.

Perhaps he didn’t have complimentary donuts.

I find @Margueritem’s comment from ten years ago almost spooky, with her reference to “Cleo.”

Cleo has that guilty look. Did that illegal sized paper have cat pictures on it?

it was meant to be more of a ‘can you believe this?’ look

Farside…. I’ve always wondered what makes some paper legal size….

I think “A” (with no number) must be an illegal size, cos I don’t believe reputable stores sell it.

 

I once went looking for A4 paper for a friend’s daughter, to enter something in a UK contest.

In those pre-internet days, I’d never heard of it, nor had the office supply store…. though they probably sell it now, cos the world has gotten smaller.

I believe I ended up finding some in a huge art store.

 

Apparently most of the world uses it, but not the US…

we have our own “letter size”.

Our “legal size” is unknown elsewhere too.

So maybe most of the world’s paper is illegal! Who knew?

And even then… everybody slips occasionally, and we usually forgive them.

Maybe not always…. but we try.

This was really funny. And I love Cleo’s knowing look.

I don’t remember this one! I know Nighthawks doesn’t publish new ’toons on Sunday, but…..my computer must be in a different time zone.

One thing that amazes me about cartoonists is the facial expressions. Cleo’s is priceless!

Well, Ballard Street hasn’t been new for 2 months now. Is anybody working at GoComics? …….just askin’.

I remember when Marguaritem had a photo of Froggy the Gremlin as her profile picture for a week or so.
