Go for it, Ted… It keeps you out of the taverns….
Is that a rolling pin in her hand?
I can think of better ways to exercise.
What will you do after you put the A on the A? Go back to stacking ABCD? I agree with chromosome, there are more amusing ways to exercise.
Shall we check in on the Clifford household?

I suspect Katina will have an idea about the perpetrator here. Meanwhile, Cleo has learned something about duplicitous cats
The medics did a nice job on Cleo. Very …. …. …. thorough.
A to D is no big deal.
I think it was very happy to see you.
Save the furniture…scratch Cleo instead.
Hullo, everybody!
Yep….you found the comments for
the Sept 15th 2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”
On Sherpa… helpfully linked above.
Cleo is illustrating TWO of my favorite comic strip memes….
Do any of you remember the desert island strips?
We talked in the comments about things you always see in the comics…
Including tiny desert islands, of course…. where people (and basset hounds) are stranded without coffee, blankets or bathroom facilities.
Well…. today, Cleo got comic style medical assistance.
A cat gets the worst of her…. and she’s not even saying “you shoulda seen the _cat!” … so I assume it was pretty one-sided.
She comes home covered in bandages, and possibly a few stitches as well….
with no human intervention, or at least, not from her so-called owners. (Who owns who being somewhat debatable.)
Heck, I’ve seen people and animals in comics appear in plaster casts and Bandaids while still fighting!
Second… those criss-crossed Bandaids.
They’re always crossed in cartoons…. but have you ever done that in real life?
Put the sterile gauze right over the one in the other Bandaid. To what avail?
Oh… before I forget… Ballard Street (2019 version) appears to have rebooted!
It’s a repeat of the first one in the archive….
Will it continue? Who knows!
I hope so.
BTW…. I was late tonight, an hour after the turn, and found myself locked out of GoComics again.
It has to be the site, not my computer or connection, cos I spent a couple of hours on other websites… no problem…
But internet site checkers, like isitdownrightnow.com said GoComics.com was OK, and it’s just me.
Sigh….
Anyway, for a long time after I did get here, I could see all the surrounding Sherpa frames but not the Cleo strip.
But now that I’m falling asleep… everything is finzzzzzzzZZZZZZ.
Susan, you’re right of course. Nobody puts on bandages like that but I went with the standard cartoony thing about crossed
bandaids only because they are instantly recognizable for what they are…….it seems to me that from even a short distance
but maybe I’m wrong. I doctored Cleo to use the typical bandaid strip here:

More proof that cats are evil.
Oh poor Cleo, you know now!,, ♡♡♡
Another lesson learned, Cleo.
I think Nighthawks went with the crossed bandaid thingy because his artwork is so good that he had to show it was only a cartoon.
Poor Cleo! Looks like that really hurts.

single bandaid strips , especially the more common peach-colored bandage strips would be unclear as to their purpose.Nighthawks Premium Member about 5 years ago
