I had to go to HR but not for SH mine was the boss firing me for surgery. I worked at that time pt and they did not want to keep my job open. I demanded the boss do a letter of recomendation, which he did and had to present this to two other boses. I felt I gave a lot. I visited with HR and filed a grievance and claimed disability, this stopped everything, off two months was offered job back, went back had to catch up on some paperwork not processed right in two weeks time. I had vertibrae surgery on my neck. And next time I have surgery I am going to HR first. I will not go through this again.
