    Yukoneric - I think you’re thinking of Jonathin Swift’s “A Modest Proposal” which was a satirical solution to the Irish potato famine of the 1700’s

    personally, I prefer to marinate them overnight and then impale the little boogers on shish ka bobs cooked over the grill with green peppers , onions & tomatoes

    Whenever Jonathan Swift is mentioned, the first thing that comes to mind is “Gulliver’s Travels”, of course. “A Modest Proposal” was very well-known in his time (as far as things were “well-known” then) but less so today. Yes, I agree, this is apropos of mostly nothing, but I was bored.
