It contains neither violence nor coarse language. As such it may not be suitable for most viewers.

Reality TV that isn’t “reality TV”? What is our world coming to?

(Kudos to the strip and to Yukoner alike!)

TrapperJohn - there is. They just happen to be in reruns. Think - Threes Company, Roseanne, Home Improvement, Seinfeld, Friends etc anything conceived before 2003 really.

Oh, Jay Leno is a fairly decent program too.

Don’t watch TV and that is the main reason why. Even the news is not only elaborated on and not researched (the Coast Guard can attest to that!)! All are trying to make conspiracies out of everyday things. I do wish we could get real reporting and on real news!

What’s the name of this show? I think I actually might be interested in seeing it.

Sounds like it might be a live report from the Capitol in D.C.

We haven’t had good TV since the 1950’s.

    Avolunteer & jrbj,

I strongly concur. My family hasn’t had TV service since about 1991 because it has degraded into worthless, mindless drivel that keeps following the same failed formulas to create their shows. There is nothing left to “shock” us with as the TV show producers have inundated us with every conceivable filth, depravity, violence and sick scenario imaginable. It has just become a huge, stinking open sewer that begs entrance into our living rooms.

Go read a good book! Go read THE good book! All this and more was foretold and we’re fast approaching the Return Of The True King.

“Three’s Company”? Well-written? Suitable for family viewing?

“Oh no! Chrissie’s pregnant and Larry’s the father!” “Jack’s a fruit!” “My husband won’t have sex with me!”

John Ritter was a very talented comedian and the only reason that show was REMOTELY watchable.

“Roseanne”, apart from the final season, SHOULD have been required viewing for families, because it made an effort to deal with the realities of family life. They loved each other, even though they sometimes hated each other.

I agree with crunkbot on “Arrested Development”, though. That was the last new show I ever made it a point to watch. (I’ve liked what I’ve seen of “30 Rock”, but I don’t follow it week-to-week.)

treBsdrawkcaB, do you mean we should all read “Cannery Row”? That’s the best book I know of.

“The Return of the True King” is all right, but you have to get through “The Christian Fellowship of the Ring” and “The Two Towering Testaments” for it to make any sense…

The 10 Commandments? You mean, the 4 “I am so great’s,” the 1 “listen to your parents” and the 5 “Oh no you don’t’s?”

I actually think more thumpers should take BackwardsBert’s advice and read the book. It’s been a while since I read it through, but I do go back to it from time to time to review passages. It never fails to amaze me.

Due to strong TEXTUAL content, viewer discretion is advised. Brief lucidity.
