In today’s world, if she went to school like that, the mother will get a phone call before she makes it to work and probably be turned into child welfare for neglect.

Unfortunately it does remind me of my neighbor and her daughter…they both get up at 5 am to do their hair and “put on their faces” before they leave the house. Lovely sweet women they are, but it would take a putty knife and 6 pounds of cold cream each to get down to real skin.
