From late yesterday:
4deerinmyyard says:
“Tiger, tiger, cutting Zs
In fancy’s forest, where the breeze
Wafts scent of cookies chocolate–
Thus in your sleep you talk a lot.”
Wow! Applause!!
Yes Ray C; thank you for bringing that forward. C & H always seems to stroke our creative side, but several people outdid themelves with th Kiplingesque poetry. I think yesterdays strip will become one of my favorites.
My husbands not that age..but he still does things like these to tick me off!!n even at stike 3..theres not much i can do except duck under d table n hide my face!!:P
Looks like Calvin’s eyes were about to pop out, hard to tell if the odor was as intense as the volume. I also think Calvin has experienced strike three before.
Actually that’s probably the exact response I would give… although maybe not at a fancy dinner of any kind… but since they’re eating what looks like “gruel” or “protein”, I think i’d be safe.
I’ve always loved this one. I was right there w/him when I was a kid. Belch humor is like toilet humor: they try to convince us guys when we’re 5 that it isn’t funny, and it’s STILL funny 30 years later. -Cwok1975
if Calvin’s mom got to three,I think Calvin would zone out into Spaceman Spiff.”We join our hero who is in a battle on the far off distant planet,Zion-6,as he is battling the evil “mom lady”.
“Must be a barge coming through!” has been at the ready whenever I’ve had a large public belch for over twenty years when this strip was first published.
Yeh, this was a good one, but I still think I prefer the ones on Valentine Day with Suzie, or the ones where you can see where Calvin got his je ne se quoi (is that right?) from both Mom and Dad. Like the one where He is explaining about color photos, or the one where She is trying to find Hobbes at night by calling to him.
One of my all-time favorites!!! Have been looking for this for an hour & was just about to give up for tonite & go to bed…. now I’ll be giggling all night!

my answer was and still is “Bring it up again and we will vote on it.” and I am way passed 50 - my wife’s response is much like Calvin’s mom.
