That is a thought I’d care to avoid. Calvin on a power surge…..
Cleo, a first I thought that to be redundant, but then,…. that’s the point isn’t it!!
bmonk yep i hate when kids come to school all hyped up thanks to there parents bc they dont have to deal with them. its anying. being a student and a teacher i can see both sides and they both suck.
Calvin and Hobbs is great for the imagination, trouble and adventures that abound for kids this age. I’m glad Bill did these before school counselors started their A.D.D. campaign and Ritlin program to drug the kiddies into submission.

Four bowls of sugar bombs should do it.

Well, that’s about how I feel this Monday morning…

Subscribing to Overboard has replaced the Calvin & Hobbes cartoon. I now receive two Overboard catoons every day.

Always consistantly hilarious!
prasrinivara almost 16 years ago
jweb1510–of course, for Calvin, Monday is the time between 23:59:59.99 on Sunday and 00:00:00.01 on Saturday.

He’s…He’s ALIVE!
but not fully awake. which is why mom and dad are still so calm

The power surge wasn’t effective enough. It should have been 20000 volts instead of 2000 volts. One zero can make the difference on monday morning …..
COWBOY7 almost 16 years ago
The surge must have smoked Hobbes.
cloudcat625 almost 16 years ago
Ugh I always feel like that in the morning.
prasrinivara almost 16 years ago
No Terry–all of the surge went through Calvin; for Hobbes, daytime is rest-time.
serenasakitty almost 16 years ago
prasvinivara I’ve had Mondays like that.
Wildmustang1262 almost 16 years ago
Calvin had a terrible nightmare.
musicnut1986 almost 16 years ago
Yes, four bowls of sugar bomb cereal with added chocolate syrup and four scoops of sugar is just the pick-me-up that Calvin needs to get going.
alondra almost 16 years ago
What an imagination. Somehow his parents and teachers have to figure out how to channel it into something useful.
wicky almost 16 years ago
On the other hand, a dish of prunes will get him ‘going’.
lazygrazer almost 16 years ago
Enjoy the monster’s stupor while you can, folks— a big bowl of Sugar Bombs will soon empower what a lightning bolt merely jump-started.

It’s Monday, the poor kid has to go to school. Get him revved with the sugar bomb cereal and hope it has worn off by the time he gets home!

Yes, make the poor teachers (and other students, like Tabbylynn) deal with his sugar-high. Real kind of you…

Calvin reminds me of my own kids. I wouldn’t sell them for a million dollars, but I wouldn’t give you a nickel for another one just like them.
GMAPEG almost 16 years ago

Ohh no…. Calvin and Frankenstein seems to be related.
