Clavin a few âthrow-upsâ are a part of every kidâs life .. but ya definitely not sharing the bed with a tiger with an especially bad attitude !!!
The cold naked truth is that, without Calvin, Hobbs would wind up in a cardboard box on the closet shelf until he finally got thrown out with the trash from a Spring cleaning frenzy. .
Guess again, Hobbes. If Calvin goes to the hospital, youâre going too!! And every time Calvin needs a needle, theyâll give you a shot first to show him it doesnât hurt too badâŠ
Heâs right; itâs scarier to be sick at night. Can anyone explain why?
~~~
It must just be that night is scarier, maybe because our defenses are down. I remember a few years ago when we were going through some major problems they always seemed worse at night. It was hard to sleep and when I woke up all the worries would bombard me. But when I got up in the morning it didnât seem as bad.
My husband would say something like, â Donât worry if it happens Iâll bury you in the backyard, go to sleep!â He always knows what to say to break me out of lifeâs panic situations.
⊠AP News Flash⊠Local young boy returns from a recent trip to Mars with what could be a new strain of flu virus! Experts are however thankful his pet tiger doesnât seem to be sick or we would now have Bird⊠Swine⊠and Now Tiger Flu to worry about.
Just donât look under the bed, Calvin. Thatâs where the greatest danger always lies in the dark of night!
Reminds me of another 6 yr. old, Tommy, who comes down to breakfast one Monday morning and says to his mother, âYesterday, in Sunday School, the teacher said that from dust weâre created and to dust weâll return when we die. Is that true?â His mother says, âWell if you heard it in church it must be true. Why? â Tommy says, âWell, I wish youâd come and have a look under my bed. I think thereâs somebody there, but I canât tell if heâs cominâ or goinâ.â
If we believe our beloved noetic, then graveyard shift guys would be shivering senseless in broad day light.
