Nothing as grouchy as a Tiger being kept awake late!

I’m sure mom’s in a great mood too…

He’s right; it’s scarier to be sick at night. Can anyone explain why?

Cuz you’re laying there in the pitch dark feeling awful and your imagination starts playing tricks on you and……

It doesn’t help if a part of your own personality starts griping at you.

You might die in your sleep from being sick whereas if you stay awake at least you are alive abet sick.

Emotions. Bottom line, emotions. The problem is, wisdom is required to deal with all this and wisdon can’t be spit on Calvins head by mom !

What if you just went to sleep, Calvin?

Man, this was the best strip of all time. I so wish Bill had kept going with it.

Clavin a few ‘throw-ups’ are a part of every kid’s life .. but ya definitely not sharing the bed with a tiger with an especially bad attitude !!!

I often think, it could be my last day in life.

You will be very sad and lonely without Calvin, Hobbes!

my youngest son is just like hobbs, a real grouch if he doesn’t get enough sleep

The cold naked truth is that, without Calvin, Hobbs would wind up in a cardboard box on the closet shelf until he finally got thrown out with the trash from a Spring cleaning frenzy. .

Hobbes is seldom shown as this grumpy.

Guess again, Hobbes. If Calvin goes to the hospital, you’re going too!! And every time Calvin needs a needle, they’ll give you a shot first to show him it doesn’t hurt too bad…

It must just be that night is scarier, maybe because our defenses are down. I remember a few years ago when we were going through some major problems they always seemed worse at night. It was hard to sleep and when I woke up all the worries would bombard me. But when I got up in the morning it didn’t seem as bad.

Well, Calvin, at least you may be sure he won’t eat you in retaliation for his insomnia.

My husband would say something like, ” Don’t worry if it happens I’ll bury you in the backyard, go to sleep!” He always knows what to say to break me out of life’s panic situations.

… AP News Flash… Local young boy returns from a recent trip to Mars with what could be a new strain of flu virus! Experts are however thankful his pet tiger doesn’t seem to be sick or we would now have Bird… Swine… and Now Tiger Flu to worry about.

Everything’s always worse at night. Thank goodness for daylight!

Reminds me of another 6 yr. old, Tommy, who comes down to breakfast one Monday morning and says to his mother, “Yesterday, in Sunday School, the teacher said that from dust we’re created and to dust we’ll return when we die. Is that true?” His mother says, “Well if you heard it in church it must be true. Why? ” Tommy says, “Well, I wish you’d come and have a look under my bed. I think there’s somebody there, but I can’t tell if he’s comin’ or goin’.”

@bandz, the monsters under the bed may have lots of teeth, but Calvin knows how dumb they are.

Weren’t they just on opposite sides?

I wonder how much Calvin’s annual bill is for his /team/ of psychologists.
