Just take the bath Calvin.

She’s a tough one to fool, Calvin.

Calvin, at least drag a wet cloth across your grimy mug for crying out loud.

When I was little, I hated to have to get into the tub. Then I didn’t want to get out.

Nothing smells worse than a wet tiger.

No wonder, it’s not so very clean inside the vacuum cleaner!

I hated baths too. I figured if I went through all the trouble to get dirty, I should be able to keep the dirt on for a while.

Now go check the vacuum cleaner bag for quarters.

I can’t believe Calvin hid in the vacuum cleaner bag. I guess he couldn’t find a dirtier place to hide.

I wasn’t a big fan of dirt as a kid. I was always glad to jump in the tub.

I do that too, and it’s quite effective after you’ve done it a few times haha!

I want to be rich!

When our son was around Calvin’s age, he sometimes used to make huge tidal waves in the tub! Even tho’ it was a pain to clean up the water all over the floor & he’d get lectured about it, we sevretly thought it was kinda funny!

I was kind of anal about my clothes as a kid. It bothered me tremendously if they got stained by grass and I didn’t like them to get real dirty either. It didn’t stop me from all sorts of rambunctious activities, I was just careful. LOL I did love bath time though, I would line up all of my little green plastic army men and as they would fight their battles, those shot would tumble over the side into the “ocean”. I also had a plastic submarine that would float under water. It was pretty cool.

Okay now get your clean body out of that dirty water so you can get back in what is now your dirty bed… Kind of a scary picture when you think about it.

Next time Calvin, think how Mom always finds out.

Hey! I do love taking the bath since I was baby. I want to keep my self clean and fresh! If I stay home all day, I don’t have to take a shower for one day. So what! But next day, I would take a shower to make myself rejuvenating and feel good.

Susan001 I bathed alone at that age. I think, for some reason,you have issues with Calvin’s parents who do love him.

I almost died laughing, seeing him crawl out of the vacuam cleaner. One of the all time best cartoons.

@Cleo: does an aversion to getting your clothes dirty explain why you prefer wearing none?

I stopped taking baths when I was tall enough to reach the knobs in the stall shower.

When my sons started showering & washing their own hair, I would test to make sure they had washed & thoroughly rinsed their hair, by seeing if it passed the “squeaky clean test”.

Hobbes always comes out smelling like a rose. Wish the same were true for Calvin.

whats so bad about baths? hey i’d kill to be able stay in the friggen showr 4 mor than 5 minutes

Be glad you can even take a bath, Calvin. I have a shower, and I love it, but I have no way of taking a bath.

Calvin is a man of the earth.

When you got the time for long, leisurely baths, you don’t want them. And when you want long, leisurely baths, you aint got the time! Or the phone rings, or the doorbell….

I take baths for Mona.

If mom were half the enterpreneur that Calvin is, she’d give HIM a quarter to take his bath and get it over with.

I thought Calvin was average size for his age but if he can fit in a vacuum cleaner bag ?! He reminds me of Pigpen on the Peanuts strip there too.

I’m surprised mom didn’t get suspicious when Calvin was “narrating” his bath
