Thatâs some really wet snow to stick that well or is it more like ice after they went through the stream. Iâve decide theyâre Calvin and Hobbesicles!
I had my Momâs old wooden sled with the metal rails on the bottom growing up but it only worked in well packed snow. My favorite in the snow was a metal saucer. It went down the hills really fast and far while spinning around. It took my breath away and made me dizzy at the same time. Hours of fun sledding on a Sunday afternoon with my cousins and the neighborhood kids!
We used to use old cardboard boxes to slide down our hill: then our mum realized we looked poor, and spent some $ on one real plastic flying saucer. We used to race the saucer against the cardboard anyway.
We often looked just like Calvin and Hobbes after our runs.
risk has itâs rewards. But mostly for young people..

as you get older and wiser one tends to recognize the possible consequences of oneâs actionsâŠ
Dino you lived a great life and your childhood and what great stories. Evan talking about your grandkids is fun to read.
Itâs a wonder how Calvin has survived growing up. Too bad he never really had a friend. I know its a cartoon strip.
Being crazy is easy⊠Once you get over the fear of dieing! A fact I found easier to convince myself of when I was young.
and naive enough not to get lost in all the details.
How lucky Calvin was to have been a child before the liberals banned childhood, made it illegal to go outside the house without a helmet and body armor, and illegal to let your kid go out and play without a body guard.
we rarely got snow in my part of georgia. we use to use any cardboard box on the big clay hill (steep too) in the neighbor hoodâŠ. usualy after it rained⊠summer or winter
We loved using those giant truck innertubes. They had a tendency of flipping over when 10 people piled on and then the one on the top became the 1 on the bottom and the snow was like sand paper on the face!

are we sure thatâs calvin and hobbes?
Rakkav about 15 years ago
ENFP Calvin 1, INFJ Hobbes 0. :))
(At least thatâs my best guessâŠHobbes seeming to be a manifestation of Calvinâs unconscious self, and also of his conscience.)

Reminds me of the bumper sticker that reads:
âIf you donât like the way I drive, stay off the sidewalk!â
Sysiphus about 15 years ago
Even with a layer of snow you can read the expression that each of them has; what a fun challenge that must have been.
CALVIN: âYou should be glad weâre alive.â Heâs always looking on the bright side of life.
thejimster about 15 years ago
Haha I love Calvin

Got a feeling they wonât find the sled âtil spring.

By the way⊠the sled ride at least is safer than those wild wagon rides. At least the rocks are somewhat covered in snow!
