Actually, it does, Grog. One of the reasons that Calvin is terrified of Rosalyn is that she’s the only one who won’t put up with his nonsense for a nanosecond, and he always loses out in the end. In other words, he loses all control whenever she’s around.

How lucky can I get—I’m at that age where I crack up at the very same funnies that cracked me up years ago.

Apparently Hobbes has passed the age of puberty. Calvin has a few more years to go. Hence the disconnect………

I’m new enough to C&H that I had to go look up strips with Rosalyn to see what kind of monster she is. Looks to me like she is hanging on by her fingernails. Good thing Calvin doesn’t know this. Keep up a good front, Ros - kiss him good night if you have too - you can threaten a few times first. That will seal your reputation.

My three year old granddaughter is in bed between 7:00pm and 8:00pm at night. I let her stay up until 8:00pm when she takes an afternoon nap which is becoming more and more rare lately. What age do most kids stop taking afternoon naps?

He may not get a good night kiss, but he will get a good night threat.

Dino-1 I don’t know the age that kids stop taking naps, but i know the age at which they wish they could take them again. Highschool.

Perhaps Alisid is what happens when boys like Calvin grow up. They kind of lose their cuteness and innocence at a certain age. Maybe that happens around puberty, when good night kisses from the babysitter take on a whole other meaning.
