Transcript:
Andy: Another clever thing Scott Adams did early on was to establish an electronic newsletter for fans. Peter: Mom, I'm off to the bookstore. Andy: I imagine this gives him quite a leg up on the competition, since I'd wager cartoonists don't have much P.R. machinery at their disposal. Peter: I hear there's this great new book that's just come out. Andy: Think about it - the power to inform an army of fans the instant you have a new product for sale. Peter: It's only $12.95, too! A bargain! Andy: The only thing that could top that would be to plug stuff in the strip itself. Roger: Oh, come on - no one could be that shameless. Peter: Did I mention the ISBN number?
