Iâve always hated how people feel like âMerry Christmasâ is âinappropriateâ and should be replaced with âHappy Holidaysâ. After all, the holiday in question [i]is[/i] Christmas. Suck it up, buttercups.
I think âHappy Holidaysâ is very appropriate as it incorporates Christmas as well as the origins of the Christian holiday: Saturnalia, Yule, and Mithraâs birthday.
