You should read to your children as long as they’ll let you! It shows that you value reading, let’s you share your favourite stories and helps their imagination as they close their eyes and “see” the story. It’s also a great time to spend discussing the story, recalling fun parts, predicting future storylines etc.

Skip should be old enough to read his own bedtime stories, don’tcha think? My daughter’s 8, and she does. (By choice.)

Its good to read books, in fact I do it a lot. I also wear slippers and hook rugs, but then Im a grandma.
