@rekam: It’s amazing you said that! Petunia actually does not end up adopting, however, I came home from that trip determined to adopt. The journey had many twists and turns, and my beautiful Haitian son came home in November 2009 and is sleeping soundly in the next room.

Reverse culture-shock is not pretty. Guilt will follow you for quite a long time Petunia.
I don’t know if it is good or bad to “get over” it.
