Yeah, I’m from Australia.
Most spelling here is the English way. Maybe that’s why the language is called “English”.
American spelling is becoming more common here especially with texting and email. I guess it is easier for young people but I’m too old to change now.
Of course, I like to think that “Australian” is a little different from both English and American.
@Superfrog: ozzie english, like canajun english, IS a bit different than english english, but that’s fine.
i have an uncle living somewhere near Sydney, if i remember correctly, but i only ever saw him once, on a family visit back to Holland over 35 years ago.
i’d like to visit Australia some day, but probably never will. still, best to remain hopeful.
