    She looked up “ides” as in Peptides. It’s a suffix. She should have looked up the entire phrase.

    She should have read the definition of the word, “looked up the entire phrase.”. But then there wouldn’t have been a punchline in this vastly informative ickle strip.

    Asrial — let me guess. You have never been exposed to Shakespeare. Famous prophetic words spoken to Julius Caesar - ”Beware the Ides of March!” - On that day he was assassinated.
