Nighthawks and Stel Bel, I encourage you to take a look at this comic: https://www.gocomics.com/freerange/2019/10/19?ct=v&cti=1208883. I think you especially will enjoy it. I encourage anybody else to check it out too. C and C regulars, especially fans of the “Find the Differences” puzzles such as we have today, will similarly appreciate Bill Whitehead’s cartoon.
Thanks to Tigressy and Susan for posting the links. Tonight, instead of falling asleep over my keyboard, I fell asleep in the living room after dinner and just got here.
S’OK, Dennis… it’s my job, anyway, except for how sometimes I don’t get here these days.
Tigressy… I was just typing my comment when you posted, I guess.
Not going to delete and repost just to take out my Sherpa link….
it was too fraught, waiting to see whether it would post in the first place, after two hours of GoComics pages timing out on me.
You know, Sheriff MonkeyBlues has always been a lover of permits and statutory detail…. even though he is, thankfully, a bit lax when it comes to prosecution….
and possibly a bit too easy to bribe in that direction.
NO! Not with money… in that way he’s incorruptible.
Let’s just say a well shaped… banana cream pie… my goodness, what were you thinking…. and a promise of reform … might cover a permit violation.
But even the Monkey was surprised, when he was elected Sheriff in 2012, to find a 2009 law on the Ballard County books that requires a license for walking a shrub.
We puzzled over it together, one day in his office, when I was doing the Monday bookkeeping…
and while apparently one such license had been issued, for a shrub named Esmie, neither of us could remember an incidence of shrub-walking, licensed or otherwise.
Well, gang, I’m one of the non winners today. I only got 8. That seems to be the number I get stuck on lately. Maybe I should try Dennis’ method again and step away for a while. Oh well. Next Saturday.

Honestly, Perry. You could simply have an unlicensed dog. You don’t need to humiliate poor Esmie in the bargain.

But who’d believe you’re out walking you’re plant? If they did, they may also beieve you’re nuts.

It’s a drooler.

@Susan Isn’t it kind of hard to solve the puzzle from behind the couch?

But first, a message from our sponsor….
Today’s “Find the Nine Differences” Puzzle….
in the Sept th 2019 “CLEO and COMPANY”
Which you can find on Sherpa
http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy
Or…. finally… do by viewing or preferably downloading my side by side version….
https://i.postimg.cc/XJ5r7ZG7/Cleo-nine-differences-Oct-19th-19.jpg
which GoComics has just decided to allow me to post.
Once again, it was trying to keep me off the site; once again, I have persevered.
Whew!
Meanwhile… Nighthawks didn’t make the one difference that I was expecting, between the panels….
Won’t say now, so it won’t be a spoiler in terms of one thing that stays the same….
but was anybody looking for it?
Tell me tomorrow!
It’s a good puzzle, IMHO…. not too hard, not too easy….
enjoy!

I think I’ve just found the answer.

After looking at Susan’s side by side I found another one so, 8 is all I can find!!! I am now going to take my plants for a walk X

Well…. I can’t stay up all night….
so I’ll just have to trust, once again, that you’ll all solve the puzzle before I get back, and nobody will use the solution gif to cheat.
I mean, there’s really no point, anyway.
Just your luck, Nighthawks stopped offering that huge cash prize he used to…um…. not offer at any time in the past, either..
There’s still the glory, of course, that comes with finding all nine differences…. but I’ll tell you…
I’ve done it, and it’s hardly a blip on the old resumé.
It didn’t get me that cushy job in Paris I was hoping for, and nobody asks for my autograph in line at the supermarket.
Of course, here in California we’re pretty enured to celebrities… it might be different somewhere where they’re less blasé about it.
But I’m not gonna move to some hick town in another state just to enjoy my fame…
and it’s really not worth your peeking at the solution to attain it, either.
That said…. I give you the work of our semi-anonymous gifmaker…. who is stel just happy that you enjoy her… or of course, his, efforts…
as am I, with my side-by-side version of the puzzle.
When you’re truly ready…. check it out:
