Danae: Hmm... Pythagorean theorem... that's a good one. Lucy: Um... a good one of what? Danae: Complex brainy stuff. I figure if I say smart-sounding things, people will think I know more than they do and will assume I'm right about everything. Lucy: Oh. So... reality doesn't matter? Danae: Nope... only perception matters. Lucy: What about when you're proved to be disastrously wrong? Danae: Perceived smart people are never wrong, just innocent victims of circumstance.

ax²+bx+c=0 has solution x = {-bÂąâ(b²-4ac)}/(2a) Hey Danae, how smart do you perceive that?
iowaweav about 16 years ago
Maybe in law school.
alondra about 16 years ago
Sheâs on her way to a great career in politics.
BirishB about 16 years ago
The wisest approach is to admit to know nothing.
JonD17 about 16 years ago
I believe Danae has stumbled across the Rush Limbaugh formula.
LeonardWatson about 16 years ago
Wow Danae, sounds just like our new president.
I sure hope America wakes up before it is too late!

I would RESPECTFULLY remind you that for the last 2 years, the Democrats controlled Congress. Now that they have their President (and I donât care if heâs GREEN) in office, they have no more excuses. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
Benedick about 16 years ago
I think Obama needs all the support he can get to fulfill even half of his promises. Heâs our pres now, whether we like it or not.
kmgnks about 16 years ago
Yeah the Dems controlled congress but Bushie vetoed everything they tried to pass. At least give Obama a chance. Did you vote?
lazygrazer about 16 years ago
Danaeâs absolutely right if you subjegate the verificiancy of her conjective speculations concerning the type of pendifocal extrapilations sheâs alluding to.
briankblough about 16 years ago
kmgnks-Indeed I did vote, as I have in every election since Ford/Carter. I fully intend to give Obama a chance, and hope that Iâm wrong. History will prove me outâŚ

Wildmustang1262 about 16 years ago
Wish Prez. Obama Good luck. He will try his best to do the works for four years.
briankblough about 16 years ago
alife-Redd Foxx must have been prophetic! Hope you get my point, though. I try, as MLK suggested, to judge a man not by the color of skin, but by the content of his character.
ccmills about 16 years ago
For crying out load people - will you stop seeing political bias in every cartoon Wiley draws and just enjoy them.
alondra about 16 years ago
I try, as MLK suggested, to judge a man not by the color of skin, but by the content of his character.
Right and thatâs why we donât like obama, not because of the color of his skin but because of his total lack of character. Would MLK be proud or disgusted at BHO? Would he be saying, âCome on brothers, we could have done better than that!â??

kmgnks said: âBushie vetoed everything they tried to passâ Actually, W only vetoed 12 items according to this item from the US Senate web site: http://www.senate.gov/reference/referenceindexsubjects/Vetoes_vrd.htm
lincolnhyde about 16 years ago
Ninetoes - he may have only vetoed a few items, but he wrote âsigning statementsâ (which frequently directly contradicted the bill) on quite a few.
cweirauch about 16 years ago
Also since there was not a super majority all he needed was a third of either house to follow him lock-step in order to get his wayâŚwhy pass legislation when you know it wonât pass?

I JUST LEARNED ABOUT THAT IN ALGEBRA 2!! : D My teacher helped us to memorize the second formula by singing it to us to the tune of âPop Goes the Weaselâ!!
