Yeah, and it doesn’t make sense; M&J was around for 75 years. Even if some of their earliest strips are non-PC, there are still decades worth of strips to show.
Maybe they think we only want to see strips from a certain era, like the 1930s, and aren’t sure whether or not we want to see what the strips were like in the 1960s or ’70s. I for one say bring ‘em on; I like seeing classic characters in a “modern” setting.
One of my favorite M&Js showed Jeff coming in the house. Mutt tells him to close the door, and asks if he was born in a barn. Jeff starts to cry, and Mutt asks what’s wrong. Jeff replies “It’s just that I WAS born in a barn and every time I hear a “jackass” it makes me feel homesick!” I still have a copy of that one!
