At the bank, one hears strange stuff. But I’ve never seen a guy like this at the bank!

vedettes: french? spanish makes a bit more sense….

In Argentina and Peru, the term vedette is used for scantily-clad women They lead borderline-pornographic productions; the performances are similar to the original French cabarets, burlesque and the revue genre.

Yeah, yeah skipper,I had it figured out two minutes after I left for work. I’ve got a lyrics search engine bookmarked, but somehow that feels like cheating.

Curious, a vedette once refered to a sentinel in advance of a picket. The cross over to civilian use makes sense.

I posted a little blurb on the vedette yesterday (don’t bother). Here is a link that gives you a couple of pictures of vedettes.

(Would a waist-cincher for a male be called a “ved”?)

That’s the problem with the country today: nobody pays attention. You’re supposed to make good FOOD choices. Only the seriously compulsive worry about poor font choices.

I was at a hot springs in California where nudity was the choice for enjoying the pools. Many of the people who were there at the time were returning from the Burning Man Festival. One guy was tattooed from head to toe. As we talked, my wife and I had difficulty keeping track of what he was saying because we found ourselves checking out all of the tattoos on his face.

According to my French/English dictionary, a vedette is a movie star.
