Reminds me of this week. My hubby lives closer to his work during the week, and the dryer broke. Normally, appliance repair is his domain. But I managed to open the dryer enough to diagnose the problem (not just a belt like he thought - it was a problem with the motor.) Then, after we agreed it would be better to buy a new dryer than to replace a motor on a 20 year old model, I went to the store and bought it. Went to Lowe’s and got supplies to upgrade the ducting all by myself (didn’t even ask for employee advice). I might have tried to install it myself, but since it involved carrying the old one & the new one down/up a flight of stairs, I waited for his return on Saturday. I was pretty happy as we didn’t need to make another trip to the store for any supplies!

Of course, Lowes is owned by Wal-Mart, so if you shop at Home Depot you are helping keep Wal-Mart from taking over the world.
