Rightly so. It’s far easier to be accepted for what you are rather than to try to pretend to be something you’re not. Going back to yesterday’s strip, perhaps they did call him a git after all.
My son has lived in KS his whole life, but people (so far, all Americans) are frequently asking him if he’s British, because of his accent. (We think he picked up his accent from watching a lot of Winnie the Pooh videos when he was still learning to talk.)
