I’m so excited… if I had a tail I’d be wagging it so hard I’d probably knock everything off the coffee table.
I was devoted to the first three seasons of Dogtown Abbey on TV….
But life got in the way of watching season four….
Somehow, I never got back into it for the remaining seasons….
especially since I knew they had just killed off two of my favorite characters…. ending not one but two popular love stories!
The male was probably the nicest dog in the story… and handsome, to boot.
And the spirited young female who died had just had a litter… leaving her upper-class pups to be raised by their sweet but rough-hewn working-dog sire.
I missed watching it, and regretted not learning what happened to the rest of them…
It was so like a family… you felt like you knew them all individually.
And now they’re back, with an update!
I’ve got to wangle us tickets!
And guess what… it’s a new film with no scenes you have to miss cos you’re hiding behind the couch, or in the BassetPlex bathrooms.
Seems unusual these days!
Apparent;y there are several posters for the human version…
I guess they’re afraid they just didn’t get it right.
Oh my goodness! Downton Abbey has got to be my all-time favorite series! We were glued to the set for all six seasons! That Julian Fellowes is the ultimate storyteller. Our favorite character is played by Maggie Smith. What a hoot.
So, thanks, StelBel for paying Homage to the best series ever created! I know this was the “movie”, but I’m waiting for it to be released on DVD to see it. Can’t wait.
Again, I come here late and can only say Kudos, again StelBel!! P.S. For the longest time I mistakenly thought the name of the human version was Downtown Abbey, thinking it was akin to the dog version.

Looks like Gloria got to the book first.

Looks like Gary’s trying to learn not to be the abusee. I don’t hold out too much hope for him.

Thanks, Tigressy. Since I do not watch the show, I was confused. You helped me understand Stel’s art here.

This one, I think, is closest to Stel’s:

Oops…. the page locked me out in the middle of typing all that….
Didn’t refresh it when it finally let me submit my comment…. so I didn’t know you had meanwhile posted a link to the same human version, Tigressy.
Sorry…. I’d take mine down and delete the link but I already overwrote the clipboard and can’t repaste my comment.
Oh well… people can see it in stereo!

Beautiful poster Stel. The humans couldn’t have done half as well.

Like Susan said, it’s like a family. Sigh.
