John: Sorry, Dad - I forgot to tell you. There was an e-mail from your brother wishing you a happy birthday! I printed it out! Jim: Well, well, I didn't know Ernie could work a computer! Look at this... an actual e-mail. Long message, too! All about his family. Nice message for my 80th! Says a lot more than one of those store bought cards! I wonder why it means a little less!

Most of the people I know don’t send greeting cards anymore: Christmas, Birthday, or any other. It first moved to email. Now it’s just a text. Better than nothing. However, I still like to send cards, in some cases.
