John: Whoa! What's got you in a snit?! Elly: Snort. It happened again, John. I went out for lunch and when the waiter came with the check, he offered me a seniors' discount! I've been asked at the grocery store, too. I mean... they just assume that I'm over 55. John - do I look that old? John: Do I? Elly: No!!! To me, you look the way you did when we got married. A little more grey, perhaps - a bit more expression around the eyes... but the same. John: You haven't changed much either. To me, you're young and exciting and beautiful. John: So, with that in mind - I'd like to invite you out to dine with me at a fancy restaurant and a movie afterwards. Elly: John, you are so sweet! John: Maybe we can get a seniors' discount!!

Elly….you were born August 1951. You’re almost 56 here, so yes, you are the age of the Senior Discount. You should be glad you’re offered discounts at 55. Some places require age 60 or 65 to get the discount.
