It’s tough being a big brother or sister.

But it’s great to be a cute little girl!

poor Mike..that lady just ignored him… you are right, Susan 001, Elly should have done something! If I were Elly, I would have bought Mike a treat or toy after that to show that he wasn’t invisible!

That’s the kind of thing that fosters jealousy in the older sibling. I well remember that happening after my little sister was born. People really need to learn to pay attention to all the kids there not just the baby.

Well said, macushlalondra!! each child is important, and the family would not be same without any of them! I was almost 14 when my youngest sibling was born, so I was able to understand and not be jealous, but Mike looks rather young in this cartoon, and I would be upset too if someone treated me like that!

Well, I have to say as the oldest of four, that my mother taught me ahead of time that this would happen and I must act the big brother and not expect to be treated like the baby. She would have me introduce the baby to the admirer, and I felt pretty doggone proud.

Rude he may have been, but that was inconsiderate of the old lady to gush over Lizzie and ignore Mike completely.
