Garfield: dear "mud": you're trying too hard to be cute. You'll get more attention if you just be yourself... garfield: and sharpen your claws on the living room drapes.

This is actually good advice.
And I miss this theme of Garfield. Again, a lot has changed since ‘78.

Suddenly Garfield’s turned into an Agony Aunt. That last bit of advice in the last panel is not really the answer Mud Fence was looking for.
