TO miss the cake Garfield you must be getting old.

Come to think of it, we’re approaching Garfields birthday, so you all could be right about referencing his age!

Don’t worry, you guys, going back for seconds is something Garfield has been doing for years.

In fact, he usually goes back for thirds, fourths, fifths, or simply until he passes out.

I think he is more worried he left evidence.

Maybe shortcake isn’t the type he prefers?? :) Always thought chocolate was his favorite.

As for his birthday, he’s 2.5 months older than me (based on the date of the comic was first published, not when it was first created, which I don’t know)… lol

Or is Jon deliberately (note: I’ll admit this would be a major stretch, given Jon’s lack of intellect generally) stating it backwards?

Garfield hitting his head says, “Darn! How did I miss that?” But he still has a chance since Jon said it’s still there. Dumb Jon to have told him that.

A cat eating strawberries? Is there anything Garfield won’t eat?

Maybe he is just waiting for Jon to buy more Strawberries!

Definitely an age thing.

May Jon is the one getting too old. Maybe he can’t figure out that Garfield ate the strawberries while missing the shortcake.
