I’m a bus driver. There are a lot of sad, lonely, pathetic wretches who ride the bus and think I’m their best friend. I thought I met weirdoes when I worked the graveyard shift at a convenience store. Now I meet weirdoes who aren’t allowed to drive.
In Toronto you can only get a transfer when you get on (and you pay a fare, as opposed to using a pass or another transfer.) Exceptions arise when a bus or streetcar is “short turned.”
