Chazz: The greedy aspect of your personality isn't so bad. It can even be kinda cute, but lately I think you've started crossing the line. Poncho: Maybe it's a cry for help. Maybe every time a dog barks, what he's really saying is "Help!" Instead of every bark meaning, "Hey," like the dog translator in that Far Side cartoon. Chazz: I don't remember that one. Carmen: I thought you were going to talk to Poncho about his counterfeiting operation. Chazz: Oh, shoot, I got sidetracked!

That was actually one of my Far Side favorites, and every once in a while when I hear a dog barking I’ll think of it!
