Charlie Brown sits on the floor reading. He says,"Gee, this man is so famous they put his picture on the cover of a magazine"<BR><BR> He walks off to Patty sitting on the floor playing with her doll. He asks,"Patty, do you think I'll ever be on the cover of a magazine?"<BR><BR> He looks at the reader as she puts her doll down and replies,"Sure, if it's a comic magazine!"<BR><BR> He grits his teeth and chases her. She runs along saying, "Sometimes I get the best of that ol' Charlie Brown!"<BR><BR>

First fourth wall break in the strip. They were very rare, maybe a one or two every decade. My favorite is when Lucy asks Charlie Brown “Do I have beautiful eyes?” and he replies “Yes. They look like little black dots of India ink!”
