Charles martinet retired in 2023 after doing the voice of mario for almost 3 decades, actually he did it for more if you count him doing the spin-off Mario series known as Mario teaches in 1991. He went mainstream after portraying Mario in the hit game Super Mario 64. his last role as Mario was in 2022 in Mario + Rabbids sparks of hope. His last role in a Nintendo related product at all was in the billion dollar movie: The Super Mario Bros Movie (2023) as both juasepi (pardon my spelling on his name) and Mario’s dad.
