A GREAT way to “turn away a whole flock of wrath,” as Charlie Brown puts it, by simply resigning yourself to the fact, that you’re the “bad guy,” or “the one that’s in the wrong,” at the moment—whatever it was Violet, Lucy, and Patty were angry with Charlie Brown about, at least he did the BEST anyone could have done—again, was accountable enough, to understand their feeling the way they felt, at the moment(he certainly MUST have done SOMETHING, to put them in THIS GREAT A RAGE!!!) But at least he admitted to having pushed them over the edge, in his own way.

Given how the girl’s personalities are, I’d say he’s innocent.

Here is the reference: Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.

Did Charlie Brown even have any idea what they were talking about?

If a boy does or says something with no girl around to witness it, is he still wrong?
