Roy hits the nail RIGHT ON THE HEAD, in Panel 4—I can relate to that, as I see just what Roy means,by a “temporary friend.” I,too, while I was growing up, would meet someone at a place like a summer camp, and next thing I knew, we would find ourselves hanging out, and palling around with each other, as we had inadvertantly taken a shine to each other, and had become friends.
