This has been the worst day of my life!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown says, "I woke up this morning looking forward to the spelling bee, and I end up in the principal's office . . . good grief!"<BR><BR> Charlie Brown continues, "On a day like this a person really needs his faithful dog to come running out to greet him . . ."<BR><BR> The World War I Flying Ace sits on his doghouse. Snoopy thinks, "Here's the World War I pilot in his fighter plane looking for the Red Baron!" Charlie Brown sighs.<BR><BR>

This was also adapted into “You’re in Love, Charlie Brown”, although instead of pretending to be the WWI Flying Ace, Snoopy simply changes position sleeping on top of his doghouse.
