Because women are hope on legs. What we want is to be loved in a committed relationship. It’s an instinct that has kept mankind alive for thousands of years but, unfortunately, also can cause some women to do rather foolish things like get married repeatedly or do exactly what Erika is doing and marrying an idiot (thank my sociology professor for that one).
Of course, tomorrow her water might just break and prove everyone wrong.
