    Margueritem, it’s not that bad. “Remember the Alamo” was a rallying cry for Sam Houston’s soldiers, starting I think, at the Battle of San Jacinto. And here’s Sam not remembering.

    And I’m not even Texan, though I did live there for over a year way back when I was in the army.

    A bit of trivia. So many young men from TN marched to Texas to whoop-up on the Mexicans after the Alamo that they have been known as the Volunteer State to this day. My G G Grandfather was among them.
