107,501. That’s a familiar number. It USED to be the capacity of Michigan Stadium, but no more. They converted a couple thousand seats to handicapped seating, and the official seating capacity dropped to 106,201. So, the “Big House” is no longer the biggest stadium in the country, Penn State’s stadium is.
Still, the “107,501” is a very recognizable number, even though it’s no longer correct.
