Ah! Bright sun! Sea air! How invigorating! I dare say I may even venture out of this cabana and perform a few rigorous calisthenics! Go for it, sir. One... Two... One... Wheeze wheeze cough wheeze It must be that blasted kelp allergy kicking in again! Cursed ascophyllum noddosum!

The tank MUST be green. Only. Not red, and not yellow.

Poor Sedgie. Never even got to the second “two….” Dratted Norwegian kelp/egg wrack!

It’s a comic strip, funny, not educational. Neither a cartoonist nor a colorist can be expected to know that an oxygen tank has to be green, or even to look it up cos they wouldn’t know there’s a right or wrong.

Will young Master Sedgwick survive his day at the beach?I’m quite shore of it.

Kelp, Kelp, he’s being repressed.
Well, it’s sort of a quote from another Monty.

I would have like to “hear” Jarvis pronounce the kelp’s family: Fucaceae.

Kydex — point taken. You’re right of course. But whether it’s information or criticism often depends upon the spirit in which it’s given, and in a few words on a forum it’s hard to know the intention. As a big comics fan who believes in being grateful for the free access, and also, a friend of a colorist, I tend to defend the art — perhaps a bit too readily.

Is Monty’s creator the modern Hogarth? Also, why do I get Monty in black and white via email but full colour on web site?

Notice that Sedgewick does not need too much sunscreen? He is well covered. Now I don’t remember what colour the oxygen tank should be, but do think Jarvis is using a fire extinguisher.

Perhaps we can hope the tank is from a fire extinguisher?
