Epilogue...Riley Escobar Freeman, though never actually charged with any criminal act, was nonetheless vilified on Woodcrest for years to come, much to his delight. Cindy McPhearson was sentenced to one evening without supper, three hours with a therapist, and two weeks of private classes in the hopes that she would learn to express herself in a more appropriate manner. She remains unrepentant. The Black Entertainment Network was sued by the McPhearson family for "contributing to the delinquency of Cindy McPhearson." Attempts to settle out of court in exhange for free minutes on the Psychic Friend Hotline were declined by the plaintiff. The case is still pending.
