Hey, I really had such a drive this year, as a passenger in a hired (not the same as rented, it comes with a driver–I really cannot drive in India) from Chennai to Gunturu. My MIL is a nice Christian lady, but her husband is a not-at-all-nice spurious-convert (who abuses her greatly about her faith).

Due to strange placement of tollbooths (no discernible rhyme or reason for variance in distance-between or charges-at), the 350 km drive actually took over 8.5 hours (driving-time only; the total was over 11 including one long stop and a shopping detour–given the heat, that was the hardest part of the trip).

Don’t I know it!

I’m that way with my inlaws too. It’s not always the woman’s parents that are the troublesome ones.

I really like Pluggers. I resemble a lot of them. Showing my age I guess, but I would prefer if when a husband and wife cartoon is shown, they would be of the same animal. Go figure

Thankfully I don’t have inlaws that I regret having to go see.
